Rejoice in the Lord.

I actually woke up with this song on my mind this morning. It has been on my mind for a while. I do not think it is by accident that things happen. Last week while working with Gracie on her school work I sat David down and put patch the pirate on and we ran threw some of his songs. (Little by Little is his favorite right now) But I came across "Rejoice in the Lord" I remember singing this as a child in the children's choir. I remembered the words but believe the words mean more now as an adult. So we listened to it several times last week. Then on Friday night I went to the Ladies Conference at Gospel Light. It's an annual thing for the girls in our family. I went to open my booklet and the theme song was .....you guessed it right. Rejoice in the Lord. I just whispered to myself. Thank you Lord. I think he put that there just for me.

God never moves without purpose or plan - (Isn't this amazing, it's his plan not ours and he knows exactly what he is doing when we have not clue.)

When trying His servant and molding a man. - (He always seems to be molding us)

Give thanks to the Lord though your testing seems long; ( We should truly remember this, bc at the time it is not the easiest thing to do.

It is Well With My Soul.

Tonight at church this sweet elderly man sang "It is Well With My Soul" The words to this song are so profound that it was still on my mind as I got home from church. So I looked up the history to this song. Simply amazing to know what this family went through and how strong they were for their Lord. I'm not sure I would be after going through all that, but I do know that was an encouragement and a blessing to hear this song and to read about how this song came about. Oh to know that this many years later their life is still blessing others. Will our life be a blessing in years come, better yet will we be know for serving our Master.

God Gives

 

There have been times I have wondered where in the world a certain situation has come from. Ok Lord you can take this away now. Fleshly speaking, knowing that he has obviously put it there for a reason. But it has took months before I realized and in some years that I realized that I prayed for that. And now in my life God is using this to mold me into what he would have me to be.

I would be tempted to say  be careful  what you pray for but I think in reality God knows your heart and he knows what lies ahead..

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
 
It amazes me. Simply amazes me to think about something as simple as if we just Call up the Lord what he will do. Sometimes he doesn't answer prayers like what we want and sometimes he does in way we would have never imagined. The thought gets to me to think sometimes what we are really missing out on (what the Lord has in store for us) because we simply fail to ask him.
                                      
                  Lord please help me daily to seek your will, not thine but yours oh Lord, to keep my thoughts on you.
